The following is from Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel.
More than 125 children and their families gathered together to craft tasty holiday treats as Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel (TSTI) celebrated Hanukkah. TSTI’s Young Family Engagement Coordinator, Alanna Carter, provided the children – who attend the Reform synagogue’s Iris Family Center for Early Childhood Education and Linda and Rudy Slucker Religious School – with materials to decorate dreidel cookies and make their own edible dreidels out of marshmallows, chocolate and pretzel sticks. They also hand-traced menorahs and enjoyed a pizza dinner organized by the preschool board. Joining the dreidel-making fun were (photo on left) Kirsten Angel-Lambert of Maplewood and her daughter, Charlotte; and (photo on right) Emma Brochin of South Orange.
Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel is a vibrant Reform congregation located at 432 Scotland Road in South Orange, N.J., that offers Early Childhood Education, Religious school, teen programs, lifelong learning for adults, and a full complement of religious services and cultural programs each month.
